Our Gateway Co-ordinator manages students who embark on this pathway to careers in agriculture, hospitality, forestry, training, health care and commerce. There is a thriving Agriculture club and akonga work in a variety of roles on local farms as part of the programme .
We are supported by the Graeme Dingle Foundation who are running programmes for our Year 10 to 13 akonga. These programmes work by developing a greater self-awareness of their own skills and abilities and matching these to the skills required in the workplace. The Foundation connects akonga with local employers, carry out mock job interviews, provide worksite visits and field trips.
